My Story
I have been a Scentsy Consultant since September 2010. I was an Insurance agent at the time for 6 years working in an office 40 hours a week. In 2009 I decided to give direct sales a try to have some fun and make some extra cash, I joined another party plan company. After just 8 short months of great sales through the holidays it all fell apart, until I attended a Scentsy party. I had that "Aha" moment, I didn't fail with my first business, I simply chose the wrong company and product! I decided to try to sell the product first, test the waters. I had sold $500 in just a week and several parties booked...I jumped in with both feet, signed up and never thought twice. In June of 2011 my 3yr old was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes! I was so blessed to have started Scentsy and have a successful business I decided it was time...I wanted to have my cake and eat it too as a stay-at-home mom and a working woman! I knew I could be my own boss, work my own hours, schedule my own time, and enjoy the rewards of my own effort. I could be with my kids, knowing this; I didn’t hesitate to make Scentsy my full time job, and haven’t looked back since. In October 2011 I hit Director, talk about exciting, my team was growing and my dreams were coming true; I am a full time Mommy AND Business Owner! My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner! I enjoy owning my own Scentsy business because I love feeling valued, I love being in control of my time and schedule, and I love Scentsy Products. I still have a hard time admitting that I am a working mom because partying with women, training my new recruits, and leading a team of women without taking anything away from my husband and children is anything but a job.
